Bendsneyder and Odendaal full of confidence

The ranking is a bit disappointing on the first day of the German GP, but Bo Bendsneyder and Steven Odendaal are full of confidence. That is prompted by the good results of the first free practice at the Sachsenring, in which both NTS RW Racing GP riders were in the top 10 most of the time.

In the considerably warmer afternoon session the lap times remained roughly the same, with the result that both Bendsneyder and Odendaal dropped a number of places in the standings. With the gathered information however the technical crews and riders can get started for the second day.

Bo Bendsneyder (22 – 1.24.888): “The first practice was good. We immediately got the pace and I was happy with that after the difficult weekend in Assen. The pace remained about the same in the second practice. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get any faster on the new tire. Because the differences are so incredibly small here at the Sachsenring, the ranking is a bit disappointing, but I expect it will be fine. There are a few small things that we can use to improve the bike. We are now going to watch the videos from the track, so that I also know where I can and must improve myself.”

Steven Odendaal (26 – 1.25.198): “We were constantly in the top 10 this morning, but unfortunately I couldn’t improve my time at the end of the session. The feeling was good. In the heat this afternoon I struggled more. The changes we had made didn’t work out well for me. Tomorrow we will therefore go back to the settings of this morning, and try to push through to Q2.”
