RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP heads to the final Grand Prix of 2025 in Valencia with excitement

The 22nd and final Grand Prix of 2025 will take place this coming weekend at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. It will be the first time since 2023 that racing returns to the Spanish circuit, following the devastating natural disaster that occurred there more than a year ago.

Just days after the Portuguese Grand Prix, the next race weekend is already approaching for RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP. In what is now officially the longest Grand Prix season ever, the team will travel together with the entire MotoGP paddock to Valencia to conclude the 2025 season.

It is an opportunity for the team and riders Zonta van den Goorbergh and Ayumu Sasaki to finish the year on a positive note, after unfortunately scoring no points in Portimão. Due to the floods that occurred, no racing took place at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in 2024. The circuit—traditionally the season finale—is only 4.01 kilometres long and is characterized by its many left-hand corners (9) compared to right-handers (5).

Ayumu Sasaki:
“It’s time for the final race of the 2025 season and it’s been long with 22 races. At the same time it all went so quickly since we started testing in February. The RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP team and me kept improving ourselves during the season and I was happy with the improvements I made in the second part of the season. On the other hand, the last two races have been difficult so I cannot wait to go back to Valencia and try to finish this season with a good result and good speed, so we can continue improving for next year. I am really looking forward to ride again in Valencia after two years, and we’ll do out best as always.”

Zonta van den Goorbergh:
“Valencia is always a special weekend as it’s the last one of the year. Last weekend in Portugal we were working well throughout the weekend, so it will be important to continue in that way. I will try to finish the year in the best way possible, that will be our main goal. It has been two years since we’ve all been in Valencia due to last year’s floods, but that is the same for everyone. I am excited to go out on this track again.”
