#ValenciaGP: NTS RW Racing GP awaits emotional weekend in Valencia

After the season’s finale in Valencia this weekend, the Dutch based Moto2™ squad and Los Angeles born Joe Roberts part ways after what was an exciting season together.

Despite that fact, NTS RW Racing GP’s riders Steven Odendaal and Joe Roberts arrived in Spain in good shape, coming from the demanding but also greatly succeeded annual flyaway races in October. The Valenciana GP, meanwhile, to host the championship’s showdown since years traditionally at the approximately 30 kilometres outside from Valencia located circuit, a track that both Odendaal and Roberts know well from race in European Championship in former years.

Whilst the entire team heads very motivated to round off its debut season alongside Japanese chassis manufacturer NTS in style continuing the progress made during the last races in Asia and Australia, it eyes one drop of bitterness as Joe Roberts is set to depart the squad after Sunday’s race.

#4 Steven ODENDAAL (NTS RW Racing RG, NTS):

“I’m very excited to be back in Valencia, a track that I know very well, and I have some good history around here. Beyond that, we can look back on a nice pre-season test back in February where I felt very comfortable with the bike. So, I believe that we can definitely do a lot better this weekend than the rest of the season.”

#16 Joe ROBERTS (NTS RW Racing GP, NTS):

“It’s somehow a bit weird feeling for me going into the last race weekend of the year as it’s the last time with NTS and the RW Racing team for which I feel a little bit sad. But at the same time, I think, it can be a very positive one particularly after the good oversea races we had last month. For this weekend, the forecasts say rainy conditions during all days. Therefore, I think we can do something really special here in Valencia so, let’s wait and see what will happen.”
